The initial process of locating a job opportunity and submitting my resume was exceedingly easy due to Progressive's use of online submission. The initial response from the corporate recruiting department was timely, and positive. The recruiter you are assigned to works with you throughout the hiring process. After the initial interview, there was some degree of longer delays in hearing back from anyone, and the actual process from initial application to hiring offer took over thirty days. Accurate expectations of the next step and the time frame were set communicated to me consistently.

The interview for me was a 3 part process. The first two were recorded and AI style inquiries. The last was an in-person (virtual) interview. I highly recommend anyone who is interviewing to learn the S.T.A.R. method of answering qurstions. This actually is good advice for interviewing for any position in any industry. Anyway, back to Progressive. It was almost a month long process. At least 7-10 days in between each step. It was a bit scary having radio silence during the process, but if this is a company you are aiming for, I suggest you just utilize your patience in the process. They will want to know the basic questions and qualifications you possess. They also will want to know about your time-management, how you relate to customers and handle stressful situations, deadlines and the big one "WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR PROGRESSIVE?" Like I said, research the company, be prepared with answers and just remember to breathe and do your best.
