The application process is unique in that you must write 2-3 short paragraphs to describe a memorable customer service encounter and a particular project you worked on that you liked--why and what challenges you faced. Also, they ask you tell them what makes you unique. From there, I got a call from someone to do a phone screening, then was scheduled for a phone\conference call with the Instructional design team. I was given 5 questions\topics and asked to prepare a presentation for the design team based on those topics. Questions like " what makes a great salesperson great" and " define success". The presentation is done over adobe connect. They also gave me 2-3 pretty tough scenario questions regarding what I would do or how I would handle certain customer situations. From there, I had a one on one call with the hiring manager and got a job offer that day.

Was initially screened and was told they want me to go to the next round. I didn't hear from them and so I called 2 weeks later and the person couldn't remember me. After I jogged his memory, they said they would set something up. At their request I spent over 2 hours creating a powerpoint with animation to propose it to "the team" of 4 people virtually through Adobe Connect. Upon initial virtual interview, only 2 people showed of the 4 and the one person cut out of the interview early. When asked if she had any questions, she said no and dropped off the call. This was 3 weeks ago. I sent 2 emails and made 3 phone calls with voicemails and no one responded as to my status. This is what I get for spending all this time preparing and putting this presentation together along with even perfecting it with putting in their logo at their request and sending the hard copy off to the team? No response?

While we hope every applicant's experience with our company is a positive one, in this case, we really dropped the ball. Since reading this post, we have re-committed to improving our recruiting and interviewing process, including a change to the method of interviewing and improving applicant tracking and response. We recognize that applying for a new job takes time and effort, and we respect that! Thank you for the feedback.
