Very weird. Interview went well, drug tested me, told me they'd reach out about my offer "this week" and then when I called a while later they said they wanted me to come back for a 2-day trial period. I was in the process of moving to Pompano so having to come a week early just for the trial right after being out of town was inconvenient, so I asked to reschedule to the following week. They agreed, and told me I'd get my formal offer at the trial day. Great! that was the end of the normal interview process. I spent the next week playing phone tag, where they either ignored me, or told me they needed to reschedule the trial. Two more weeks went by where they avoided me for reasons I cannot even begin to theorize, a huge difference from the talk of offers. I was told that the engineer I'd be training under had an emergency, and was given no information past this for three weeks. They promised to reach out "Soon" and ended up ghosting me. It was like they forgot they weren't really hiring and then were too afraid to actually tell me. The most drawn out, confusing rejection I can possibly imagine. They asked me to move early to start. I was looking at apartments near the office. Who does this to a person? Extremely unprofessional, never received clarification for this behavior. Shame, I probably would have enjoyed the position.
