I recently interviewed with this company for a position that perfectly matched my skills and experience in medical billing and coding. During the process, I provided all the necessary references and demonstrated that I met the qualifications they were looking for. The interview itself went well, and I was confident that I was a strong candidate for the role.
After the interview, I waited for several weeks without any updates. I understand that hiring processes can take time, and I remained patient. However, after a significant amount of time had passed, I decided to send a follow-up email to check on my application status and to reaffirm my interest in the position. Despite this effort, I did not receive any response from the company. I was informed I would hear something in a day or two.
This lack of communication is very unprofessional. If I was not selected for the position, a simple “no” would have been fine. It’s frustrating to be left without any closure after investing time and effort into the interview process. A direct answer, whether positive or negative, shows respect for a candidate’s time, and I believe companies should hold themselves to that standard.
