The interview process started out really well, had a phone interview with the HR and really liked the company. Was asked to go for a second interview, face to face with the project director. It was a two hour interview as we were chatting for a long time and I really enjoyed the potential of the company and culture it possess. I was eventually offered the job, however the package offered resulted in a decrease of salary so I had to reject the offer. The HR was really nice and after a month came back to me and fought for a better package which I wanted to accept. Till this point the interview process had been very positive, sadly moving forward I was disappointed in how a few things were handled.
The first was that I was not informed of a one year bond, which in reality is not a big deal. I was surprise that this fact wasn't mentioned any earlier. Second was that I knew I had multiple long trips overseas as my friends were getting married, therefore I highlighted this during the interview. I wanted to be upfront as I wanted everyone to be on the same page. I was informed that it shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, when I was about to sign the package I was told that it was too many holidays and they had to retract the offer. That was a disappointment. But in all fairness they did try to work out the dates with me but we couldn't find a way for it to work. It would have definitely saved us more time and could have been handled better.
Overall, I still love the culture of the company and think that it has a lot of potential. So for other people I would definitely recommend they give it a try.
