I was first contacted by Point72 by HR, who put me in touch with another Data Scientist for a phone interview. The interview lasted 45 minutes, but about 15 of those minutes were spent either trying to decipher the broken English on the other end or repeating myself endlessly. The interviewer never introduced himself, and was generally pretty cold and distant. He proceeded to ask me some pretty complicated coding questions, to which I was supposed to speak my answer over the phone, which I found very odd. When I asked about why he liked working at Point72, the only real answer he could come up with was the money. Yeah, no thanks.
