J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Podium (Dallas, TX) en août 2024
Entretien
Three rounds. Went with initial screen, to manager (ended up being Chief of Staff ), to executive (Chief Sales Officer). Podium was EXTREMELY unprofessional, came to each interview unprepared, wildly underdressed, and one ended up being with an entirely different individual than was expected or planned. The COS came to the interview in a a hoodie, and was in the airport completely disengaged. The CSO took the interview in his hotel room with either room service or a maid interrupting. I was distracted and off-put in each stage. Is very clear that it is LDS BRO culture driving this company's leadership. I disengaged in the last interview and didn't ask questions because they made clear to me that the amount of investment they put into new folks is minimal and they could probably give two f$%ks about your success in the company. I didn't get an offer as I didn't ask questions in the final round due to how off put I was in the 'final round'- the CSO asked NO questions about my previous sales quotas, how I met and exceeded them by 200% in year one and then 121% in my second year as an AE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME- RUN. I feel silly I wasrted my valuable time on these Mo-Bros.

They rescheduled the meeting multiple times. Then they showed up late. They then proceeded to give the most unprepared interview I have ever had, while walking away from their laptop multiple times. Body language couldn't be more obvious that they didn't care I was there.
They questions themselves were pretty standard: How do you currently work deals, Why do you want to work at podium. Etc.
I did think it was funny that they gave me a lecture about needing to research the company more before an interview (fair) while they clearly didn't prep for the meeting at all. It was too bad because the first interview I had with them from their HR team was incredibly professional and sharp. The woman who ran it did an incredible job, But the second one was a total cluster.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Podium?
How do you currently procure opportunities?
Casual, panel of 3 interviewers, They asked me a slew of questions about history, but more questions about how I would approach prospecting in different situations. Overall it was a positive experience, all 3 interviewers were managers, and I ended up working for one of them

Managers were nice enough but seems they were looking for someone with direct tech sales experience and I was out of the running from the start - definitely not my strongest interview anyway.
Cheers to the recruiter for putting me forward - he was pretty hopeless with follow up. Gotta learn how to deliver bad news my dude, it's literally the job and super bad for your personal brand as a recruiter. Nice enough guy.
