I had applied online for the role of Senior Product Security Engineer at Pluralsight. Initially, I received a rejection email stating that they no longer have an opening for the position. A few weeks later, the recruiter reached out to me asking me for my availability to interview for the role. Apparently, the candidate whom they had selected had moved on and decided to go with another opportunity. I then provided my availability, and the interview went ahead as scheduled. The interviewer was respectful, and provided some context around the company and the role. The questions were mostly technical. The questions, however were something that one could easily google and find out the answer to. Finally, the interviewer ended the interview rather abruptly not giving the opportunity to ask any questions that I may have had about the role. I found this a little odd and slightly unprofessional. Overall, it was an okayish experience. Pretty ordinary.
