The firm reached out to me after viewing my resume posted on ASLA's JobLink. After quick email exchanges we arranged for an interview two weeks later. I spoke with two people on their end simultaneously. Friendly discussion about their firm, I asked them a number of questions and they had me talk them through my portfolio. At the end, they mentioned they didn't have any licensed landscape architects (at that time) which was disappointing as I am interested in licensure. I would have rather found out sooner!
