J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez PitchBook (New York, NY) en oct. 2023
Entretien
The process was quick. Had a 30 minute recruiter screening call and an hour-long interview with two hiring managers on the NY sales team. The phone screening consisted of questions on career background, salary expectations, and information on Pitchbook. It was noted that PB is heavy on mentorship/ upward mobility opportunities. They also asked if I knew the difference between VC and PE (this question was asked again in the 2nd interview). The second interview is 45 minute behavior-based questions and 15 minute mock cold call, selling a product of your choice while utilizing problem-centric selling. The recruiter was pleasant to speak with and excited me on the prospect of working at PB. Unfortunately the sales managers were curt and had a "let's get this interview over with," demeanor. Outside of asking me back-to-back behavior based questions, there was minimal conversation and my questions were pushed to the end of the meeting. For the mock cold call make sure you ask several open-ended questions and pitch tailored use cases for the product.

Question 1
"One of our values is Make It Fun, can you tell us a time where you had a grueling task and you made it fun for you and coworkers?" "What's the difference between VC and PE" "Tell us about a time you failed and your response" "Give us a step by step approach for how you organize tasks" "What is a quantifiable metric in a previous role you are most proud of" "Summarize Pitchbook's platform"
There are three total steps. First step is a screening call, low intensity behavioral questions. The second round is with a hiring manager, same behavioral questions but some technical questions mixed in. Ended in a mock call. Third round is a higher up, same behavioral questions and trying to assess fit.

Quick phone followed by zoom or in person. Quick to get back to you and start next month. Average difficulty for SDR role, other promotions are seemingly merit-based only (quota attainment)
The first interview is a 15 minute phone call with the recruiter and they ask you basic questions about the role, and what you know about VCs, private equity, and M&A.
