Started with a phone screen which involved some ML knowledge/trivia questions, followed by a coding problem. This went well and I moved on to the virtual onsite. The interviewers were nice and overall process was well organized. I walked out of the onsite feeling pretty good. Following the onsite, I did not hear back regarding a decision and whenever I emailed my recruiter about it, he would tell me that they still haven't reached a decision yet, even an entire month after my interview. I can understand if Pinterest didn't think I was a good fit, or if they decided to freeze hiring, as many tech companies are doing right now. At the very least, get back to me with a decision. I ended up taking an offer elsewhere, because I can't afford to keep waiting. In the end, I still don't know how I did in the interview. And this is not to mention that my recruiter was incredibly unresponsive. My emails would often go unanswered or ignored for days. Given this experience, I don't think I will interview at Pinterest ever again.

To my surprise, the coding question was nearly identical to what I'd practiced in the algorithm section on PracHub just days before. The onsite interview included some more DSA challenges and a discussion on machine learning concepts, which helped me feel well-prepared. Overall, the experience was smooth, and I accepted the offer afterward.
