      Entretien pour Marketing Communications Manager

      18 févr. 2014
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Toronto, ON
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pink Triangle Press (Toronto, ON) en août 2013

      Entretien

Was first contacted by Nia Herhily via Linkedin. Was asked to take an assessment test (Cream HR) and scored higher than average. Went for a first interview at the Xtra! Head office at Yonge and College, where I met with the Head of Digital Marketing, a Graphic Designer and an Office Administrator. Was asked to critique current ads for gay porn, while the panel took notes. After the critiquing, I was asked a series of typical marketing interview questions (favourite commercial and why, favourite brand and why, etc.). In total the first interview took approximately an hour and change. Contacted right away for a second interview, but wouldn't take place for another two weeks. I met with the head graphic designer and the CEO, but was asked to prepare some copy and some ideas for campaigns - some new slogans etc. My girlfriend was weary, and by this point I had a feeling they were just trying to get free work out of me. After the second interview, it took them a month to get back to me, and they said they went with another more qualified candidate. 2 weeks later, the position was posted again. Some advice to PTP - if you're trying to get some "FREE WORK" then I advise you at least change the name of the position. I find it hard to believe that you have been unable to fill the position since August of 2013, and are still interviewing for it. And to the 275 applicants on Linkedin - Protect any work, snail mail it to yourself. There might be a good chance that they will steal your work.

Thank you for your response. It's unusual that our interview process takes this long, but it seems that yours unfortunately did. I assure you that we do not use any of the homework that candidates bring to us. This was a difficult position to fill at the time, and we did not find the candidate we were looking for the first time around (hence the re-posting).
