      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pimcore (Salzbourg) en juin 2023

      Entretien

      I guess it was an ok interview, the HR representative seemed like a really nice guy and he tried his hardest, but the technical person in the interview did not do the company any favours. There was mention of numerous different technologies and stacks that they all support simultaneously, also admitted that various of them are pretty old and they have not yet decided if they wanna keep them, rewrite them or migrate them to a newer technology. In plaintext that usually means a fair deal of legacy code, of various code quality and undefined processes on how to handle all of that. This turned me off from their offer already, additionally they advertise the position as remote but will let you know that they would quite like to see you in the office often if possible. furthermore there was a bit of confusion around me listing a technology in my resume used at a company that did not come out a year or so after I've joined the company, regardless of the fact that I've stayed with said company for multiple years and had the opportunity to use the tech in question extensively during my employment there. So my assumption is a very motivated and friendly HR department and a very oldschool and chaotic engineering department.
