There's a series of questions about your background and experience. You might have short ha da on mechanical assignment. You have to take a written maintenance mechanic test to determine what level you are at.

you fill out the application, turn it in or fill it out on line. Wait for a phone call. go do a plant tour and then BAM. you are hired. Unless you are going for a skilled position like Maintenance. Then you must meet with the maintenance manager.
