Phone screen followed by a 4 hour homework test.
After completing the test project I was told I missed many areas( I knew I didn't), but they will not tell you which areas they are referring to. They offered me to resubmit but of course I said no thanks, I won't fall for that trick again. Seems like they're trying to get ship-able work from candidates so they can use the work? Do not waste your time on the test, as others said, they most likely will come back with something like "you missed many areas", even if you didn't. If you did missed something why not point it out? I should of listened to other reviewers on here. If that's how they conduct their interviews, I can't image how they operate when you get hired.

No Phun here!
I applied online for what was advertised as a Full Time position, and they asked me about salary etc.
Then they informed me that it was contract or contract to hire. This was a red flag to me as it seemed like bait and switch.
I researched the company more.
Here on glassdoor, job review trends have turned down hill sharply and you can read them yourselves as well as look at the job review trends graph.
NASDAQ had to change the rules based on actions PHUN had taken to inflate their stock. This information is open to the public.
52-wk high $550.00
52-wk low $1.90
As of the day this review is being written, share price is ~$2.04 and has been falling about 50% / month for several consecutive months.
Additionally they are in a lawsuit with Uber, with Uber alleging Phunware defrauded them and also ran ads on Porn sites which was agasint Uber's wishes. This information is available to the public.
I think the Market understands Phunware, as well as their recent employees and interview candidates.
I'm sure they will respond "Oh, it's not true!"
Well, it is true you are in a lawsuit with Uber, the details of which have not been decided in court yet.
It is true that your stock market chart is the wackiest I've ever seen and is closer to "trainwreck" than "crash."
It is true that their employee reviews are sharply down.
Additionally the recent interview reviews here on glassdoor are on par with what I had seen from them.
I decided to pursue other opportunities
