I was interviewed through phone initially and eventually, I was interviewed via videoconferencing. In general, the interviewers were nice except for one female higher up (this was like the last interview) who sized me up short of insulting me because of my school and work. She told me that I was competing with people from better schools and I had little chance of success. I was confused on why they even gave me an interview in the first place when they had the chance to review my credentials. I am already in a good company and my career has turned out for the better but I will never forget that interaction with this female boss who insulted me. I think regardless of whether a company will hire someone, an interviewer needs to afford their applicants with respect.
