Definitely avoid this company. I applied for a Lead Designer position through LinkedIn and a couple days later received an email that they like my application, progressing me to the next stage.
Their email read;
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for submitting your application!
We’re excited to inform you that you’ve advanced past the initial stage—we think you might be an good match for this position, and that’s why we’re reaching out.
Given your interest in this role, we assume you’ve already taken a look at our app, Petme, and are enthusiastic about the possibility of contributing to it. It seems only logical to explore the product and company prior to applying.
As we progress in the hiring process, we’d appreciate your thoughts on a few questions:
Why do you want to be part of Petme?
Having experienced Petme, what’s one specific change you’d suggest for our UI/UX, and why?
We look forward to hear from you!
I decided to look this company up and found a reddit post about the founder starting this app, which seemed like engagement farming. Then came across a Glassdoor review similar to the email I received.
I also noticed that the company is registered in Estonia, under Zeros Group OU but their LinkedIn is registered in Madrid, Spain... The Lead Designer position was London based... So before doing any work, I decided to send back a clever email to see if they'd respond and they completely ghosted.
This company is simply looking to farm app downloads through fake job advertisements and trying to gain UX knowledge through the individuals who fall for their fake job emails. Avoid, don't be desperate. It's a scam.

I had the EXACT same experience as the other candidates. I got an email saying I was moving on to the next phase asking to give a few recommendations for their app. I too me time to answer, downloaded the app, etc. And after that NOTHING, I emailed to ask for an update and they ghosted me. I actually have years of experience in the pet care industry so felt like a good fit for them as well… What a scam, they just get free advice from experts and then ditch them. Very sketchy and unethical. Needless to say, I will NOT be using nor recommending their app. The owner just keeps posting on LinkedIn, very non-chalant.
