J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez People Inc. en avr. 2024
Entretien
I never had to interview for an SEO research editor role. I submitted a cover letter, then I did an edit test, and then I got an offer for the part-time role.

Question 1
No interview questions—all I did was an edit test.

I had a phone interview with the recruiter for the company, who asked questions that made it clear, to me at least, that they'd never worked on the ground level of a news organization.
Additionally, when I asked the questions I'd prepared, every answer was met with, "You'd have to ask the hiring manager." Perhaps the hiring manager should be the one doing these screenings then. I never heard back, and the job was reposted on LinkedIn, which makes me wonder if they're hiring at all, since she allegedly had a whole week's worth of interviews lined up. Not sure if they simply didn't find a perfect unicorn or if it's something else.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez People Inc.
Entretien
A TA reached out to me for an interview (over the weekend). I interviewed with a recruiter (by this time the job req/title changed), took a two part editing test, and interviewed with two directors.
I like that the recruiting process started off pretty good and moved quickly. The recruiter was responsive throughout, but it went downhill after my final interview — I was pretty much ghosted.
Also, I was never asked to complete a job app and one of the interviewers said they didn’t even receive my resume although I did provide it to the recruiter.
If a candidate goes through the entire process at least let them know where they stand instead of ghosting them.
