I was referred by a friend who was a friend of the New Car Sales Manager. I was told to bring my driving record and resume. He scheduled the initial interview. It was great. We just talked about our lives in the auto industry. Scheduled 2nd interview on the spot with the General Manager. I was warned several times not to be late. I was early. He was over an hour late, and it was the quickest interview I've ever had. He said he "liked my attitude." I was told I would be contacted for 3rd interview with the Area Vice President. And again, I was early. He was late. After interviews, a very intensive background check with 2 hour phone interview. It was around a 4 week process.

J'ai postulé via une autre source. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Penske Automotive Group (Scottsdale, AZ)

      Entretien

The person I interviewed with was focused on gossiping about some internal business challenges my previous employer had gone through while trying to tell me they knew everything about the issues, which were, in fact, false rumors. I felt the interviewer enjoyed emphasizing drama and putting down a more successful company. The focus then turned to mutual contacts in the industry, with the interviewer asking for my opinions on them while giving me their own opinions in return. I was then asked if they were to call all these people, what would they say about me? I welcomed them calling everyone, but that's hardly the appropriate way to ask for references. This was followed up by multiple requests to tell them how much money I made and statements about how I would be bored if I were to work somewhere that was slow, not outgoing, and not flashy like my previous company. All their comments seemed aimed at belittling my previous employer for their success, grandiosity, and ambition. And because my last company was at the top of the industry and extraordinary, then I also must be too pretentious, flamboyant, and other false accusations about my character. I could continue writing about my experience, but I think I've provided enough context. The entire experience was inappropriate and unprofessional, and I should have ended the interview right away.
