Automated email from recruiter and phone screening. Received an automated email over 1 month later that they would not be moving forward. One day later, received the same automated email for a phone screener for the same position with the same recruiter.
The interview process consisted of a phone screen, meeting with the hiring manager, portfolio presentation, meeting with a team member, meeting with a product manager and designer, and meeting with an executive. I appreciated that the recruiter was willing to do prep calls during the interview process and this was encouraged to show that the candidate cared about the role. Future candidates should be sensitive to the salary range (80-100k), strong role of UX advocacy at the company/sharing unpopular results, chance of layoffs, and level of UX research support/expertise in the UX team. While my experience was overall positive, my main feedback to the hiring team would be to shorten the hiring process to increase efficiency and confidence in organizational decision-making.
