Terrible experience.
I was taken through 7 total interviews and several calls with my recruiter. The process was interrupted by holidays but I was told before hand that I was the lead candidate out of 3 and a decision would be made as soon as everyone returned from the holidays. Of course I was ghosted after the holidays and had to reach out to my recruiter twice for him to give me an update in which he said a decision was still not made but they were interviewing MORE candidates including an internal one that was likely going to get the job.
He also said that they thought I should take a different Junior position that would require relocation so "I could have more support and help" which is insulting and disrespectful as I have 6 years experience in my field and am Mid-Senior level in experience.
The time, work and stress spent on this position was immense and excessive compared to other hiring processes and I wouldn't have continued if I wasn't made to believe that I was the top candidate but this company ultimately wasted my time and was very disrespectful.
