      Entretien pour Test Score

      Employé (anonyme)
      Lansing, MI
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien facile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pearson (Lansing, MI) en mars 2015

      Entretien

First, we had to apply on line because the company's add did not say specifically that we needed to apply on line and did not specify we needed to apply specifically for work on-site, instead of at-home. This was a big surprise to the supervision, as if they figured we we were mind readers about what they wanted when they did not specify clearly in their job ad. This caused about an hour delay while they set up computers for us to use and we logged in to apply on line. Then there was a test that we needed to take to evaluate our knowledge of science and math. Then, when we passed the test we had to log into the Pearson site to provide data so they could check our education and other credentials. Seems like a very poorly organized and planned process, as if this were the first time they were hiring a huge group of folks instead about the 50th time they have done it.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

There was no face to face interview; it was all done on computer through test questions, mostly directed at our ability to use math, make logical decisions or conclusion, or use scientific principles.

There isn't an interview process after you submit your application. They just email you about 1 month out of your project and let you know if you've been selected to score.

Very intensive and thorough. The interview process included both written and verbal questioning. The questioning was intensive, but the interviewer was friendly and patient. The interviewer was very thorough and explaining what was expected and what the job duties were.

No interview, just an application and a yearly survey to update your interest and availability. However, if you forget to fill out the survey it's assumed that you're not interested in working for Pearson anymore. Peak score season starts about April and ends July or August. If you apply after then, you may not hear from them until February or March the following year. I really recommend applying before test season.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

You'll be asked about which subjects you're comfortable with and at which level. From what I've been told, the upper grade levels of science and math are the hardest to staff so you'll have an advantage if you are willing to do that.
