J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Paycom (Baltimore, MD) en avr. 2015

I was contacted by a recruiter and she was diligent in her duties and was very communicative. I took a personality assessment and a skills test in Microsoft excel. The tests were not difficult or too time consuming. Shortly thereafter I went in for an interview. The first portion was in person and the other was on webcam. The questions were very basic and not too deep.
I was told I did a good job, but was not offered the position. They said they were looking for someone "more analytical" which is slightly vague. They also said that I didn't currently have experience doing some of the things that they were looking for in a new candidate; which wasn't true. My resume was very detailed and specific. It aligned very well with their job description so that was a bit frustrating.

The interview was simple and straightforward but I was ghosted by the recruiter who did not respond to my attempts to contact him after the interview. Rejecting candidates is part of the job as a recruiter and they should grow up and learn how to deliver a rejection with class.

I applied online and was invited to interview for the role straight away, though the recruiter's earliest availability for a phone screen was a full week+ away (understandable). Where I began to get frustrated, is when my confirmed, scheduled, interview time came, I was completely stood up with no explanation or even attempt at contact. Simply no call or way to get in touch with the recruiter. After about 15min I sent a polite email asking if now was still a good time as well as an invitation to reschedule that would work better, and also called to leave a voicemail for the recruiter through the PayCom main contact number. Close of business that day, I still had received no contact or explanation from the team or organization. (somewhat understandable - people can get busy). Then, about 24 hours from the scheduled call, and still with out any explanation, apology, or even contact from the team, I received an auto-rejection letter. Whaa?
Please note I was also fully qualified for this job and looking forward to the opportunity to learn more. That being said, I am shocked and the lack of professionalism in this brief interview process. At least it is clear to me now that this organization is not a place I want to be. Thank you for confirming this so early on!

A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. I had a call with her and while she sounded like she was reading off a script, she let me know how my background could be a potential fit and I moved onto the next round, a 1:1 interview over webcam. THat interview went great, and then shortly after I was scheduled for a third and final webcam interview. This one was a little more difficult, but it ended with the interviewer seeming "shocked" I was applying to this kind of role...when the recruiter had reached out to me originally, and I thought I did great in the second round. Ultimately, after waiting over 2 weeks, I never heard back again. I followed up with the recruiter but still got no reply. I would have just liked a yes or no answer. Being left hanging like that was very disheartening and unprofessional for a seemingly great company up to that point.
