I was messaged on LinkedIn from somebody who said I have promising looking skills. I wasn't close enough to graduation yet and he told me to connect closer to graduation so I did. I emailed back and forth until I took the skills assessment test which I basically got an A on. This is the only part that they probably got any information on. Also, the recruiter that orchestrated the whole thing was extremely nice. First was the phone interview with the recruiter, which was really basic. Just asked some basic resume questions. She asked what my top 3 programming languages were. After that, we scheduled the first in person interview. First interview was okay. There were no super technical questions or coding questions. The interviewers were nice and the conversation was good. I honestly would have felt more comfortable showing that I have the right skills instead of them asking me random questions. They apparently thought I was good enough for the second in person interview. This interview lasted a good 20 minutes. The second interview was extremely pointless. It lasted 5 minutes. It was impossible to tell what he thought about anything. Mostly "behavioral" and "personality" questions that could be answered by simply looking at my resume. I was waiting for more relevant questions the entire time. It is no wonder that I got no offer because they probably didn't learn anything about me based on their questions. Overall, I am slightly annoyed that after the whole process the reason I didn't get an offer was that I needed a little bit more experience. This seems easily determinable from my resume and knowing that I am graduating soon. Somebody contacted me to begin with and I heard they had good training which is why I thought they wouldn't expect a lot of experience.
