I had the interview with PayPal on 12 Feb 2018 in Bangalore. The experience is not good, as I need to sit for longer time ( 10 AM - 5 PM ), though my effective interview time was around 1 hour.
Describing the Interview process :
* Inept experience to interviewers for taking interview.
* Questions are not relevant to job description. All of them are open ended questions.
* Too much waiting time due to lack of co ordination between interview panel.
* Priority is given to people from Chennai ( Tamil ppl ) , though interview is conducted in
Bangalore.
They invited around 35 people for one day with 4 panel consisting of 4 members. The questions are not technical ( only 5 SQL questions that anyone can do ) and all other are open ended questions.
I have completed by interview and HR said he will get the feedback and get back to you on next working day.
People who have answered questions related to probability & Statistics got good chances for his role. So go through mean, median,mode, normal distributions, left & right skewed distributions, Null hypothesis, Regression models.

Question 1
First Question :
It is most standard question, I have observed for interview with PayPal, Chennai. They give you Transaction data for two models ( say model 1 and model 2 ). Each model has the below details
* No of Total Transactions
* No of Approved Transactions
* No of Declined Transactions
* No of Good and Approved Transactions
* No of Good and Declined Transactions
* No of Bad and Approved Transactions
* No of Bad and Declined Transactions
* Total Good Transactions Transactions
* Total Bad Transactions Transactions
Then you need to find the one which is best to deploy .
Second Round : They asked about what all charts, you can get with a given dataset. You have data with below columns
* Transaction ID
* Date
* Customer ID
* Units
What all charts you can get ?
Third Round : He asked about some irrelevant questions, which are not related to current JD. He asked about my prior experience. Some questions are Null & Alternate Hypothesis , will the assumptions made for customer segment for 2016, will be valid for 17 Q1 etc.
Another Question for First Round : They give you Sales data ( transactions, Revenue, Cost etc ) for two regions and Region manager is worried for drop in sales ,despite the price is increased.

Worst hiring process ever. The manager has some pretty good credentials as far as academics go. She was rude from the very first word uttered. Asked me a case study which I answered fairly well. I may have made some errors, but largely everything was on par. Received absolutely no feedback on the interview. Not even a generic decline. This part irked me the most. If a candidate is spending time to prepare for the interview and answer your hypothetical questions, the least you can tell him/her is that he is not going further. The recruiter handling my case set up my interview and disappeared for a 10 week sabbatical leaving me with no contact details for the temporary recruiter. Worst process ever.
