Pavilion Construction has discriminatory hiring practices. I applied for a position with them and after a highly successful round of telephone interviews I was asked to have a medical evaluation including a drug analysis. I complied with their request even though I was not supplied with any information on company policies. After my test was completed, I did not hear back from Pavilion for over a week. I contacted them to follow up and was informed that they would not be proceeding with me because I did not pass the drug test. I said that was absurd because I only take prescription medicine which I provided the documentation for. I was then told by Pavilion that they have a very strict drug policy and even prescription medications are prohibited. Really?? Prescription medications are prohibited and you wait until after I take the test to inform me of this highly discriminatory practice? I was absolutely appalled and outraged. I even asked if they could provide a copy of this policy and they would not respond. Avoid this uncompassionate company at all costs - if this is how they treat employees or prospective employees then I can only wonder how their lack of business ethics affect their clients.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We have had multiple reports of good interview experiences, so we apologize that you did not have a similar one. Drug and background screenings take time to process, especially with multiple candidates, so it can take a week or so to get back. Yes, Pavilion has drug and background tests put into place as a condition of employment, so if there were any questions regarding the policy on this, they should be addressed beforehand. We have not had an issue with this before with candidates with prescriptions, so we apologize that you felt we were unjust. We take every review into account moving forward, so thank you for your review.
