Coming out of school, I had a three step hiring process. First, there was a 1:1 interview with someone from upper management (mine was with the COO). Second, there was a basic programming aptitude test. Third, there was a case question that I was part of a team for.
The 1:1 interview was really standard. Because you're applying to be a consultant, they're looking for good communication skills, as well as relevant experience. Lots of PAR/STAR stories were helpful for me.
The basic programming aptitude test was different than what I expected (despite them preparing me well for it). It wasn't something that I could really study for; rather, the questions tested your ability to think clearly and use logic to solve problems. The test itself is language agnostic, so there really isn't too much that you can do on your own. Get good sleep, eat well, and nail it out.
The case question was difficult and lasted a few hours. They had us in a team of 3. We spent a few hours prepping our solution/explanation, and an or so hour presenting our solution. It was clear -- based on the questions they asked -- they weren't concerned as much with our actual solution as they were with the process/assumptions of how we got there. I could tell they also wanted to see how we worked in a team and supported each other. The case was hard, and our solution wasn't perfect, but we did a good job of adapting to their questions and feedback.

Was reached out to after applying online. I had a 30 minute interview. The interviewer was extremely kind and transparent about the role. Unfortunately, the position at the location I was interested in was no longer available, and I wasn’t willing to move to the other location at the time. Overall, a very positive process. I was told it would be three rounds but I dropped out after the first round (I was told I would’ve moved on to the next one).
