I first had a screener with one of the campus to career representatives that was just simple career questions, and he then said that he would forward my resume to the department and that he would let me know if they wanted to bring me in for an in person interview. Two days pass after that, and he sends me an email notifying me that I will be interviewing with the Licensing and Franchise department. It wasn't my first pick, but I love Paramount so I was willing to take what I could get. So I do all this research looking up with the department does and prepare all of these pitches and ideas, and when I go in for my interview and start talking about everything I prepared for, the interviewer tells me that while the position I am interning for is technically under the Licensing department, they were actually like a sub department that didn't really have anything to do with the main responsibilities of the head department, so I had essentially prepared for all of this stuff was completely irelevant and was completely embarassed. Although I guess it was my fault for not asking for further clarification from the recruiter, I don't understand why they wouldn't specify the exact position or "sub department" i would be interviewing for.
