1) Phone Screen
2) 1:1 with director of data engineering
2) Two back-to-back 1:1 interviews with a manager and a senior data engineer
3) rejection
I thought the interview process was fine; everything was very conversational.. I think the whole process took less than 2 actually so I'm glad it didn't get dragged out; I'm not sure if they were just interviewing for the heck of it or not but I feel like they already had a candidate picked somewhere from the start as the recruiter told me there were to be 3 rounds after the screen, but they squeezed two people in the second round for me and he told me that would be the final one.
I thought my recruiter was pretty helpful throughout the whole process, besides the last part, as he was very communicative with me and constantly kept me posted. I was pretty let down when I learned I got rejected through a generic HR email and didn't even hear from the recruiter himself asking me if I wanted any feedback or even just giving me a personalized message. If the recruiter would have stayed consistent even when I was rejected, I would have rated the experience as positive overall.
