      I was reached out to via LinkedIn. A week later I was sent unclear directions for an interview. There were no details on whom I would be speaking with or the interview set up such as if it would be panel, 1:1. If I would be speaking with a Recruiter or Hiring Manager. No details. The system that is used is counterintuitive as you do not receive an email confirmation or text confirmation, upon selecting a time to speak with the company. I realized after initially selecting an interview time, that I need to actually copy and paste the link and notate the exact interview time. Once I sifted through this unclear set up, I selected an afternoon time in my time zone. The interviewer never showed up to the zoom. I sent a message to the recruiter who reached out and she never responded. If this haphazard process is any indication of what it’s like to work there, it’s safe to say I dodged a bullet.

      The worst candidate experience I have ever experienced. When the recruiter called me she didn't even introduce herself. She went right into "do you have a Bachelor's Degree?". She was extremely rude throughout the process. She did a "prep call" with me listing out the questions that "would be asked in the panel interview" and stating that "3-4 people would be on the call". She also said that "people with military backgrounds would be successful in our interview process." Only 2 people showed up to the panel interview and none of the questions that were asked were the questions she listed in her prep call. She never circled back with me to let me know the team's decision. Very unprofessional. The interview process was going to be a recruiter phone screen, a panel interview and then candidates were required to work in a restaurant for 4-6 hours (which is a bit extreme), then 2 more panel interviews and then a final interview with one of the co-owners where she would "assess your character." Very inefficient and unnecessarily long interview process.

      I recently had the pleasure of going through the interview process at Panda Restaurant Group, and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The company's commitment to professionalism, communication, and thoroughness impressed me throughout the entire process. First and foremost, the communication from the hiring team was exceptional. From the moment I submitted my application, I received prompt and clear updates regarding the status of my application and the next steps in the process from my recruiter. My recruiter spent a great quality time on prepping me, sending me lots of helpful resources to prep me for success. This level of transparency and responsiveness made me feel valued as a candidate and kept me engaged and excited about the opportunity. The interview itself was well-organized and structured, allowing me to showcase my skills and experience effectively. The interviewers were professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in getting to know me as a candidate. They asked thoughtful questions and listened attentively to my responses, creating an atmosphere where I felt comfortable expressing myself and highlighting my strengths. Furthermore, the interviewers were knowledgeable about the company and its values. They were able to effectively communicate Panda's mission, culture, and growth opportunities, which further motivated me to pursue a career with the organization. It was evident that the interviewers were passionate about the company and genuinely invested in finding the right fit for both the role and the company culture. I highly recommend the Panda Restaurant Group interview process to anyone seeking a rewarding career in the food industry.
