J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Palantir Technologies (Londres, Angleterre) en juil. 2014
Entretien
Like a few others on here I have been approached by a recruiter at Palantir Technologies via LinkedIn, via a private message even though they weren't an existing contact for a particular role - Site Reliability Operation Analyst. At first I was quite excited but after I saw the job spec realised that I wasn't a good match for the role. I also did a lot of researching into the company, including reviews on this site, and I really didn't like what I found e.g. cult-ish culture, living facilities on site (poor work life balance), unfavourable press about the "weirdness" of the CEO, not a great regard for the for non-techie roles, etc.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
None as such as I cancelled the interviewed after my research - which was taken in kind and professionally. I was surprised though to be even considered for the role as I didn't feel my profile qualified to raise even the initial interest - I am a project manager who mainly worked on Web and IT projects, but am not technical myself and yet the role asked for some heavy duty technical skills, albeit desirable (but you'd need them if you were to solving problems of your software users).

It was all pretty quick and efficient honestly. It's a three round interview process with an HR phone screening. First stop is the phone screening which is pretty straightforward. Second stop is the first round interview with a current SRO Analyst, Second round is a panel interview with three members of the team you're applying to, and final round would be with someone more senior.

It was 3 rounds in total. Recruiter, senior Team Member, then on site with 3 team members (one being a manager). The recruiter one was comfortable and relaxed. The recruiter was nice and friendly. The second interview was a little more behavioral-based. The last was a little more situational and behavioral.

I applied online. Although I applied for a job in London, the recruiter called me from the US using a US phone line. The original attempt didn't go through with my usual mobile phone number but I had a spare number (from another company) handy and that went through. The call was 30 minutes long with standard questions. The recruiter chose to refer me to the hiring committee who ultimately rejected my application. No feedback given.
The process was overall positive although I would've liked to understand the rejection. The recruiter I spoke to told me that I can reapply in 6 months for the same role or another (if I think I'm a better fit in a different position).
