      Entretien

5 interview rounds of interviews and flew out to NY during the snow storm for in person interview that i had to paid out of pocket for. When I got into the office, they put me in a meeting room for 3 hrs by myself to design some stuff and then made me design more stuff for another whole week when I flew back. There was no point in flying out and my interviewer was unorganized/does not know how to actually interview people. The employees were nice but I got the vibe that the CEO might be hard to work with in my terms and they said they work 60-70 hrs a week and weekends. I did my final with the CEO I was very uncomfortable. He asked me deeply personal questions like what's the darkest thing I've been through and he also said he fires 50% of his new hires within a month... He offered me a pretty bad offer and that he couldn't tell me my benefits package until after I accepted the offer which was weird to me. I didn't even get a formal offer letter. I emailed the next day to get the offer in writing and kindly ask for negotiation bc his working 70hrs a week in NYC was worrying my parents financially and I was also interviewing w places in ny offering 150k which was more than double this offer. I reassured him that Pacagen is still my top choice, but he immediately rescinded my offer and said he wants ppl who wanna make social impact rather than designing stupid little buttons. Then I asked for it back but he wished me the best of luck to find a company that will invest in me as much as he does. Through my experience, this company seems like they overwork u but underpays and I feel like would've been like a minion if I had joined. I would also highly suggest looking into the company background and the CEOs LinkedIn posts...
