A phone interview and then home task in react nodejs express. Before the dedline they sent me an email which they move forward with other candidates and then told me it was a mistake but i got same email at the day after

I interviewed for the Vuforia team in Israel. Received a call from HR, scheduled a phone interview with the team lead he asked some basic Node.js questions. After the phone interview recived an Home assignment to build an application in any Frontend framework with a Node.js backend (1 week time). After finising the assignment i've sent it over to the team lead, didnt get any feedback, two weeks later recived a generic rejection email with the HR thanking me for meeting at the office (I've never been at the office). I've expected to recive at least a feedback about the home assignment that i've spent a week working on, and to recive a less generic rejection email. its evident the company does not care for its candidates.
