Asked to sit down and waited for a short while, then the HR officer came in. After the opening talks, I was shocked to be told that the company actually had no intention to pay my expected salary, or anything near it. She told me that it was a junior position and was expecting to pay a junior salary. I didn't ask her why they bothered to ask me to come for an interview; I just politely smiled all the way and gave polite response, and sat through the interview.
