Initial HR screening interview to see if i would be good fit for the position. I did not hear back for several weeks after the screening. The initial interview took place approximately a week after I submitted my resume.

Long process with many meetings made for a marathon feeling. Most conversations were not terribly structured but lots of stakeholders needed to be a part of the process. Typical situation where the role was described differently depending on the person interviewing.

The hiring manager and I spoke about the firm's strategy and how the hiring manager's team contributes to the strategy. Subsequent conversations with more senior leaders built on that first conversation. The conversations flowed informally but covered firm strategy and aspirations. Everyone who spoke to me was professional and polite.

Question 1
Rather than asking formal behavioral questions along the lines of "Tell me about a time when...." the interviews flowed like informal but informed conversations. That made me grateful that I really listened to the substance of what the interviewers said, and formulated my own questions to learn more.
