Reached the hiring manager directly to ask for available positions and received an email back with more information. I sent my resume directly to the hiring manager and got a call back for an interview. The interview was pleasant and fast.

Initial interview with the PI, Senior Research Associate, or Lab Manager. General introductions of myself, what the lab does/purpose, and roles. Secondary interview included seeing the lab space and meeting the members.

There was first an interview with the PI over the phone with a few basic questions about the position, then an interview with team members over webex delving into what is expected, projects, and diversty + equity. Relatively communicative throughout.

Met with professor via video call followed by unpaid visit to the lab (which required travel). Messages were exchanged via email only. I’d assume this varies depending on who you’re looking to work with.
