Hello and thanks for providing your feedback, it's certainly not great to hear about a negative experience, so I asked our team to share their thoughts with me.
Firstly, sorry that you had to experience a move from our junior intake to intermediate.
Usually one of the first things we collect after discussing your experience and validating that there's a mutual fit is a salary expectation.
Collecting this information aligns your expectations to ours and ensures we're fairly interviewing each candidate on merit for each role.
In this case, we believe we were not provided with any expectation which caused the confusion and the change from junior to intermediate mid-cycle.
Regarding length and organization, like many businesses COVID-19 forced us to rapidly adjust to a very challenging environment.
During this time we had a surge of requirements from existing customers which caused a delay in interview scheduling.
We have discussed this internally and will try to communicate the expected wait times earlier in the process to accommodate this.
Regarding the intermediate role interview, as a smaller consulting organization, the expectation on us is very high.
Our customers trust us as experts in cloud technologies which requires us to set a very high bar on both technical and interpersonal skills.
There is a vast difference between great DevOps/Cloud Engineers and great DevOps/Cloud Engineers who are customer-facing, and as such, we decided to not move forward.
We thank you for working through the interview process with us and would certainly invite you to apply again in the future.
Best Regards,
