      They start with a recruiter just going over your basic stuff, why Openly, experience, etc. Then they give you a homework assignment written in Go with plenty of time to write decent code, so I took my time with it. Made a mock app like they requested. Got hardly any worthwhile feedback/questions on the PR for the assignment. What little I did get felt like extreme semantic nitpicks that are at best controversial. Something I wouldn't even write if I was on the other side of this interview. After the PR, I was told they couldn't pick me for senior level and I could join as a junior if I wished; I declined. This company's interview process felt discriminatory due to lack of other reasons for being declined for senior in the PR and my name/picture being in the commits of the PR.

      Made it to round two and everything felt positive. When I got an offer elsewhere, I let them know they were my preference, but I had to make a decision within a reasonable amount of time. Openly decided to dip instead. That was pretty bad given the two positive rounds I'd had so far with good feedback.

      Multiple meetings, and a take home project: It started with a discussion with the recruiter, she was really nice. Continued with a meeting with a manager and an engineer. A technical interview followed with design question, I was given a take home project. The take home project is in go, and I enjoyed it. After that I had a meeting to discuss the project and lastly an offer meeting. It was a great experience.
