Saw job posting on LinkedIn. Had a phone interview with a recruiter/HR person in SF. She then gave me an assignment to complete a couple of tasks at home based on estimating and looking at various inspector's reports and documents. After that was "approved" I then had another phone interview with a renovation/construction manager based in Dallas.
Company concept seemed interesting and while the salary they were hiring for was competitive with what I was currently making, they do not have a bonus schedule of any kind. I've worked for several construction companies and interviewed with many more, and I think this was the first time I've come across a company that didn't offer some kind of bonus opportunity for the construction managers. So this made the total compensation package quite a bit less than I was looking for. But I wanted to go through the process to learn more about the company and was hoping that maybe some of their benefits would equal out the lower total pay.

Phone interview followed by a take home exam. Was contacted by a recruiter in San Francisco, then asked to complete a take-home exam, which was just a repair ask based upon a home inspection. After that step was completed I was set up with another phone interview with the Dallas repair coordinator. Everyone was nice enough and I was disappointed to not get the job!
