Interview process itself was run-of-the-mill, I explained my personal history and my interest. The problem started when the recruiter asked me if I could come in for training and start next Monday (the Interview is on a Tuesday), essentially giving me an offer. I was caught surprised and asked for 24 hours to consider it and to get back to them later. The recruiter agreed and then said she would send me an email with the details later. She asked for my email address and phone number, and then proceeded to never contact me again. In hindsight, I should've asked for at least some form of contact info of her or the company so that I could reach out later. Naively, I expected them to reach out to me and at least send a rejection email.
