7 Zoom interviews with various members of the BD team and executive team. The final interview was with the CEO. The first 6 interviews were quick, ~30 minutes each, but the team members seemed involved in the process, though very busy/distracted. For the final interview with the CEO, he never showed up to the Zoom call and no one offered any reason why (himself included). When the interview with CEO finally occurred a week later, it was very disappointing. The CEO was unprepared and only wanted me to ask him questions. After that, I waited 11 days for any follow up, only to be told that they were not filling the position at all...I assume this was a sham interview to fulfill a process requirement (likely already had a candidate in mind, but needed to fill out a process). If they aren't filling the position, my assumption is that their preferred candidate didn't accept...?
