Lidia who is in charge of the hiring process for salesmen and women was extremely professional and quick. The turnaround time from my giving my resume to the employee that referred me to being called for an initial screening was less than 24 hours. Everyone was to the point and the next steps were made clear. I have interviewed with companies that string you along or give you next steps that are untrue/murky - not the case with OnDeck and it all started and ended with Lidia.

I submitted my application for OnDeck through their website and waited a couple of days before hearing back. I was contacted, asked a few basic questions (eligible to work in US, do you authorize a background check...) and offered to have a face-to-face interview in their Midtown office. Arriving there, I provided pertinent information, references and was then shown around the office and led to a conference room. I met with three managers of sales 1-on-1 for about 15 minutes each. That afternoon, I had a phone interview scheduled with the director of sales which lasted about 15 minutes when conducted a couple days after scheduling.

The initial interview was an e-interview conducted online through one-minute video responses to 6 different questions. Once you see the questions, you have 30 seconds to prepare before responding, then 60 seconds to respond. It was really difficult to say all I wanted to in just one minute.
Honestly, I did not like the e-interview screening process. It felt really impersonal, like leaving 6 different awkward voicemails for someone I don't even know.
I emailed HR to let them know I had completed the e-interview, but never got a single response...
