Very long winded! I had 8 individual interviews over 3 months with no respect to my time as the candidate. The final interview was changed last minute to a bank holiday to accommodate the interviewer who kept yawing on the call before I even spoke. She also took a long personal call during my interview. I felt that the decision had already been made to offer the role to the other candidate and I was set up to fail. This final interview was with a senior member of staff and was an appalling impression of the company as a whole. As much as I was invested, I realised in the end that it was a blessing not to be offered the job and perhaps those 3 months saved me a longer period of investment. Overall it seemed the company did not know what it wanted and I observed that employees are burnt out and there were some traits of toxicity but that reared its head at the top of the chain.
