The day started with a brief intro in what Ocado do, so don’t worry about in depth research before the day. Then we were split off in groups for the assessment process. The first task was a group exercise, where we worked together to produce a warehouse design which conformed to the given specification. The second task was also a group exercise, where we had to work together to make a pitch on why a landlord should choose our company to operate on their site. There were various issues and constraints we had to address too. Finally, we had to give an individual pre-prepared 10/15 min presentation on a topic of our choice, with questions after. These included questions about our topic, as well as general competency questions you expect in an interview. Overall, a positive day! Tea/coffee/water/snacks provided, and we finished on time. There were lots of grads around on the day who were more than happy to answer any questions we had. I wasn’t successful, however I received a phone call with feedback from assessors within a week of the assessment day.
