The process started with several phone interviews with the humorless hiring manager and staff, and proceeded to onsite interviews and then more phone. None of them seemed to have had any formal interview training as their strategies were all over the map (review the resume, technical problem solving, open-ended soft questions, etc.). It was clear to me that the hiring manager had a very different idea of what the position was than the other managers did. It was also clear that everybody I spoke with was stressed-out -- I don't remember a single person smiling. After the fourth or fifth round of interviews, I realized this isn't where I wanted to work and let them know that. This place has a "circling the drain" feel about them. I keep checking their website to see if they're still around. I don't expect them to be for much longer.
