      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez OBMedia en août 2022

      Entretien

This process consisted of 5 rounds of interviews which should've been a red flag up front for an assistant position. Throughout the interview process nobody could really explain what the entire interview process would look like and it felt like I kept being shuffled from person to person. A couple people I interviewed with told me straight up they weren't even sure why I was meeting with them. The first interview was with an HR/Culture person. They asked general background questions and then had me do an Excel skills assessment test where I shared my screen and they watched while I followed instructions. I passed this and went on to a second interview. Interviews 2, 3, and 4 went well and it truly was a pleasure speaking to each person. It felt like it was going to be a great culture fit and I was overqualified for the position. After the 4th interview I received an offer via phone call. During the call I attempted to negotiate a higher salary to which the HR person said they'd have to request approval for the increase and she would let me know. This led to an impromptu 5th interview with one of the executives. I was asked some questions about my skillset but then was given a confusing scenario that had nothing to do with the role and was based on my personal opinion on something COMPLETELY unrelated to the job. It caught me so off guard that I ended up bombing the interview. As a result, the company ghosted me for over a week until I finally reached out and they informed me the were rescinding the offer. Advice to the company: Please establish a standardized interview process and inform applicants up front so they know what to expect. And so that your employees aren't surprised when they have to interview someone.
