- Recruiter where professional, and friendly.
- Personal and engineer where Friendly, however I found the interview process, for assessing a Principal Engineer skills really limited.
They asked me just 1 single "technical" question about a geometric algorithm, which with my experience I never dealt with. I'm a software engineer, who dealt with systems complexity not some schools problems.
I could not visualize the problem , since it was stated verbally with other random information, there was no written information.
I did expected for a Principal Engineer, a really different interview, as other big tech companies do.
Starting from high-level and focusing on other problems.
I just had 1 question, which was "crucial" for them for assessing my skills.
I think also the personal was to much over-confident, on the process.
Hope that this will trigger a review process and improve the hiring process, because I think they were friendly and motivated people, but they need also to shift their minds.
"live coding" for a principal engineer, with lot experience, is not the daily job.
