Initially contacted by the HR coordinator who asked me several questions about my background and let me know that she hadn't met with my applied department manager and would have her contact me if the position was needing to be filled. I was taken back by the fact that she didn't know this ahead of time. About 9 days later, the department manager called me to set up an interview.
