I applied for the job and within a week I was contacted. They asked me a few questions and gave me a very brief phone interview which went well considering how nervous I was. They asked about my retail experience, my availability, the basics. They decided they wanted to have a face to face interview that same week. I was excited, i love Nordstrom! I decided to dress up so I wore these red wedges (killed my feet) go plenty of compliments from all the beautiful men and women that work there. I knew I had it in the bag, I was asked a couple more basic questions by Hr and the interviewed once more by the department manager about my most recent job, what I'd bring to the team etc.. He then took me to the floor to the department and I had to sell him shoes and he was very impressed with me so I knew I had the job :D

We have to bring out 4 pairs of shoes plus the hot item of the month, which 3 pair in addition to a basic pump would you bring if she's looking for something for work? (minus the hot item)

Overall all very simple and easygoing. Just show up professionally and know about the company. The main areas of focus is your experience, how well you work with others, and how to navigate this position.

Had a general, 10 minute phone interview over the phone followed by an in-person interview with shoe depeartment manager.
Depending on what season you're interviewing or the manager at the store you apply to, you may also have to demonstrate your ability to sell in a 1 on 1 simulation with a manager.

Entretien
The interviewing process was lengthy, I went to three interviews and on the last one, I met with my store’s manager and her regional manager. It was a very lengthy process but respected. Nordstrom values the right things so not just anybody can get the job.
