J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Nordstrom (Honolulu, HI)

      Entretien

I first applied online for a few available positions in departments that I was interested in working in at Nordstrom. I got an e-mail about a week later saying someone had already been hired for the women's shoes dept. A couple of weeks after that I got another e-mail saying that they wanted me to schedule a phone interview for women's handbags. The phone interview happened two days later with a woman from HR, and was only about 5-10 minutes long. She asked me simple questions such as why I wanted to work for Nordstrom, how I felt about commissioned sales, etc. I was then scheduled for a 1 on 1 interview for the same day where I met with the HR assistant. Make sure you bring your resume just in case because when I went to meet with him and the dept manager they both didn't have mine on hand, which I thought they would since the whole application process is done online, but thankfully I had brought a copy of my resume anyways. He proceeded to ask me similar questions as the woman on the phone, but added more on top of that such as "name a time where you set a goal and didn't reach it" and "what was your most successful sale, and what were the steps that you took to make that sale?" (I have nearly 5 years of previous retail experience). He then asked me if I was open/flexible to work in different departments than what I applied for because he wanted to refer me to the dept. manager of sunglasses/accessories. She wasn't in that day so I met with her the next week. She pretty much asked me the exact same questions that the guy from HR asked me, but threw in a role playing scenario at the end where she gave me a situation (going on a trip to SF), and I had to sell appropriate products to her. She said she wanted me to meet with the store manager, but he wasn't in that day so she told me she'd give me a call. I called a few days later to follow up and got scheduled to meet with the store manager the following week. I met with the store manager and he just talked to me a little bit about the company and their values, and he said I should expect a call by the end of the week. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it's a good sign since I made it this far!

So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
